Image…Dominion…Subdue

Gen 1.26-28

26 Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

27  So God created man in his own image,

in the image of God he created him;

male and female he created them.

28  And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

Matt 28.18-20:

“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. It is kind of funny to me [Axaday, not Luke] the way Huckabee wants to make such an important distinction between his and Romney’s religion. He’s right that there is a lot of difference between Southern Baptist and Mormon, theologically, but the way he brought it up makes me lean more toward Romney, given the choice between the two. And that seems pretty ironic to me, given that I [Axaday - not Luke] am a Southern Baptist myself.
