Austin NAACP President Defends Ron Paul
Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul has been under a vicious smear attack by opponents for charges of racism. The charge appears to be completely unfounded and Paul continues to advocate individual freedom.
The Austin NAACP President Nelson Linder came to Paul’s defense. Linder said that Paul is not a racist and said, “Lets face it Ron Paul is a thinker and he’s also a Constitutionalist”. He continued, “I like Ron Paul personally, I like what he’s saying, I think he’s sincere and I think he’s correct in what he’s saying”.
Ron Paul was recently attacked for racist writings that he did not write in the 1980s. The writings were written on a newsletter bearing his name but Paul had said in the 1990s that he was unaware of the writings and should have paid greater attention to what went out in his name.
Paul is recognized by many as a modern Civil Rights leader. Supporters of the presidential candidate plan a mass donation day on January 21st to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Dr. Ron Paul as Civil Rights leaders.
