Thank you UAW workers. We have a lot of union activists for Ron Paul out here too. We all know it is economic security, jobs, and the future of our children that matters. And we only buy American cars!!!!!

  2. martin says:

This is awesome! Go Ron Paul! Spread the word Michigan, we NEED him in office and there’s nothing else to it.

  3. Jonathan says:

Please consider a press-covered official endorsement. This could turn the tide in Dr. Paul’s favor in the last hours before the vote.

  4. Republicae says:

Ron Paul is the only candidate that whose policies will actually help the working man and woman of this country, the rest only have plans to continue selling this Nation to the highest bidders around the world.

I read an article in one of the Canadian Financial Newspapers the other day and it stated that the Canadians were worried that Ron Paul might get elected and drastically change monetary policy of this country and if he did that it would once again make the United States so competitive that other countries, such as Canada, would no longer have a competitive edge over the U.S. It also stated that Ron Paul’s Sound Money policies would bring so much prosperity back to this country that other nations would have a hard time keeping up unless they followed the same path of sound money.

Imagine that, the United States competitive again. It is time that the working men and women of this country actually backed a man who stands with them, not just spews out empty promises to get votes.

Now, Ron Paul understands that the problem gets very personal when the fiat monetary system is expanded to increase economic growth and the act of inflation causes the devaluation of the currency itself, this debases the purchase power of the currency and although it appears that prices are increasing the fact of the matter is that the money is losing its measure of value.

For instance: today it takes $21,230.00 to purchase what $1,000.00 bought in 1913. The value of the Federal Reserve Note compared to the 1913 Greenback Dollar has been effectively decreased by 99.952896845%. Now, for modern comparison sake, let’s take an hourly wage today and take the actual purchasing power of a 1970 Federal Reserve Note in comparison. Today, let’s say you make $15.00 per hour, in terms of real purchasing power in 1970 Federal Reserve Notes; your $15.00 per hour today will buy the same as $2.77 per hour did in 1970. An annual wage at $15.00 pre hour calculates to a gross of $31,200.00 has the purchasing power of $5,759.72 did in 1970.

As you can see, the fruit of our labor has been drained from us; we are basically turning into a feudal economy where we pay peonage to the “Lords of the Manor”.

If Ron Paul is not elected in 2008 then by 2012 we will all wish he had been!

  5. Joe Marshel says:

I am glad some union people are not “only for democrats”
It is NOT about D and R, it is about the way things work and who knows how to fix it.
I also hope that US car makers will stop making 15 cars that do not sell well and make 4-6 that are Kick A$$ like they used to
then take back the #1 spot

But if Dr Paul does not win we will not have money to buy new cars 😦

  6. tim says:

The UAW obviously has some very intellegent members

  7. scott says:

Thank you UAW! We want jobs for Americans! Ron Paul supporters are the most Pro-American people you will ever meet.

  8. Keith says:

Right on UAW…We need to overwhelm the Diebold cheating machines. Go Ron Paul!

the following is the info from the link above:

In this riveting personal story, John Perkins tells of his own inner journey from willing servant of empire to impassioned advocate for the rights of oppressed people. Covertly recruited by the United States National Security Agency and on the payroll of an international consulting firm, he traveled the world—to Indonesia, Panama, Ecuador, Colombia, Saudi Arabia, Iran and other strategically important countries. His job was to implement policies that promoted the interests of the U.S. corporatocracy (a coalition of government, banks, and corporations) while professing to alleviate poverty—policies that alienated many nations and ultimately led to September 11 and growing anti-Americanism.

Perkins’ story illuminates just how far he and his colleagues—self-described as economic hit men—were willing to go. He explains, for instance, how he helped to implement a secret scheme that funneled billions of Saudi Arabian petro dollars back into the U.S. economy, and that further cemented the intimate relationship between the Islamic fundamentalist House of Saud and a succession of American administrations. Perkins reveals the hidden mechanics of imperial control behind some of the most dramatic events in recent history, such as the fall of the Shah of Iran, the death of Panamanian president Omar Torrijos, and the U.S. invasions of Panama and Iraq.

Confessions of an Economic Hit Man, which many people warned Perkins not to write, exposes the little known inner workings of a system that fosters globalization and leads to the impoverishment of millions of people across the planet. It is a compelling story that also offers hope and a vision for realizing the American dream of a just and compassionate world that will bring us greater security.
